As at today we have some side and partial rear timber fencing, I say partial rear fencing because the people behind us at present can't pay for their half ($284) until they have finished the build, which is a bit disappointing.
We also now have the cement piers in the ground as we also now have the plumbing in the ground and finished as of yesterday.
I have contacted the builder this morning and apparently we will now have the boxing, for the slab to be poured, done tomorrow and the actual slab being poured next week sometime around Wednesday 11/06. This is also a shame because if we had it done this week, it would have 3 days to cure as we have a long weekend and Monday off, in Victoria.
Once the boxers come on board, they will then also move some left over dirt, from the piers and plumbing work, off the right boundary fence line. Once this is done, Danny, our fencer can come back and finish the right hand boundary fence also.
It is so painful at present, well really it give Vanessa & I the shits, because it seems as though we can't get a, run on jobs a flowing work load at present. It seems that one thing a week and then no progress until the following week. I know builders have many properties on the go at the same time, but delegation and time scheduling appear to be missed allot with a great deal of home builders these days.
Although in our estate, I must say, some other homes seem to fly into the frame stage. No sooner is there a fence around the building site there appears to be slab and frame up, ready for the roofing in 2.3 weeks. Not that I wanted a those builders homes,(mainly because there are too many additional costs that they charge) but they appear to have some damn good schedulers on board.
Here is to hoping we get some great flow on movement next week, although being a short week I would suspect the slab only next week and framing to possibly start the following week. I know this sound like it is flowing but, we had water pipes connected on 13/05 - 8 days nothing (2 days are a weekend) - 21/05 Power (meter) box installed - 5 days (2 days are a weekend)- 26/05 Piers dug and poured - 8 Days nothing (2 days are a weekend)- 03/06 Plumbing completed - Hopefully 3 days (1 would have been better) - 06/06 Boxing of slab layout - Possibly 5 days- Slab to be poured. = 29 Days, nearly a month, 4.1 weeks.
May be I am being paranoid, or eager just can't wait for us to be able to move in. I don't know! It just seams that other's homes are moving faster than ours and it just shits me. To be honest.... As I said though may be it just seams that way..... I don't know......
Post some pictures soon....

Allo there! Thanks for your comments on our blog!! I think it's you stealing our tradies, ey?!! I know how you feel tho. Monday they finished the site cut, Tuesday they delivered a skip and now it's Friday tomorrow and nothing has been done and the weather has been beautiful! The tradies I need are at your place!!!! As my hubby says, just try and be patient, it will get built, just sit back and relax. I don't think anyone's house gets built as quickly as they think it should. But I mean, how hard is it to build a house?! Hang in there!
